Pure Hyaluronic Acid
Profhilo contains one of the highest concentrations of pure hyaluronic acid on the market, but unlike traditional dermal fillers, its HA is thermally stabilised rather than chemically cross-linked. This allows Profhilo to spread evenly through the skin, delivering hydration without adding volume or altering facial contours.
Hyaluronic Acid’s Role
As we age, HA levels in the skin naturally decline, leading to dryness, wrinkles, and a lack of elasticity. Profhilo restores HA levels, providing the hydrating properties help improve the skin’s elasticity and suppleness, making it appear fresher, smoother, and more radiant.
Injection Technique (BAP)
The BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique is used to inject skin boosters. This involves injecting small amounts of HA into 10 strategic points on the face to maximise its spread and effectiveness. Non-Volumizing Treatment
Unlike fillers, which can add definition or contour specific areas like lips or cheeks, skin boosters work uniformly throughout the skin for a subtle, all-over rejuvenating effect. They do not create the fuller, plumped look typically associated with fillers.
Results and Maintenance

FAQ
How many sessions are required?
- A complete course comprises of 2 treatments, 1 month apart. Thereafter 1 or 2 sessions yearly are usually sufficient to maintain results.
Are there any risks involved?
- Low risk of bruising and swelling which usually resolve within 24 hours.
Is there downtime?
- Downtime is minimal and most patients are able to go back to work immediately.
- After the treatment, you will have a series of small bumps at the injection points which reduce usually within a few hours after treatment. Light make-up can be applied to the area where necessary.
What is the aftercare?
- Comprehensive instructions will be provided/emailed at your appointment but generally you should avoid alcohol consumption, hot baths and saunas, facials and strenuous exercise for 24 hours post treatment.
